Motherhood made me realize the importance of treasuring all the beautiful memories of the new born..I had my own ideas...And searching few sites & suggestions from my friends...I came to know that there are lot more we can do for our kids..They will love it (appreciate us ;-)), once they grow up ...
Let's start... (You can note down the date & also capture the moment.)
First Day (D-Day)
1. Take the first snap.
2. Hospital wrist.
3. First dress.
4. First visitors & gifts given by them.
5. Foot & hand print or rather layout.
(You get hand paints which are safe & non toxic).
6. First yawn
7. First smile...etc.
Every Month
1. The day baby was born, you can take a snap
(in the same background,it will show how the baby grows) or rather cut the cake.
2. Write a blog on his monthly developments /mischief’s
3. Keep a record of his height & weight...Etc.
Day by Day
1.Collect all his firsts (toy, comb, cup, spoon, prammer ,towel, dress, feeding bottle, sipper, book
Socks, shoes...etc)
2. First solid food, juice, jam, etc.
3. Capture all the naughty actions
4. First temple.
5. First visit out of town
6. First turn over, crawl, walk, etc (list is endless...)
7. Take a snap of all his collected firsts (else if you can you can treasure them in box)
First Birthday
1. Record the voice.
2. Hand prints.
3. Decorate with his snaps. (It would be the best decorative stuff)
4. Ask all the guests to write their wishes on a card.
5. Make a card having all the 12 month snaps.
6. Collect the cash he received as gifts for his birthday & open a bank account. Deposit every
year.

Baby Record Book
What better way to record all the memories in a cute little book...There are many varieties available in the stores...However I prefer handmade ones.(However I haven't made one yet :-( )
We can use the templates...and be as creative as we can...I have attached few sample templates...
First year Diary book
Every month you can write diary for your baby... to note down the milestones & narrate the most memorable moments in their life…Which they will cherish later. It could be hand written one or a soft copy (word/pdf). I would suggest soft copy. Since it would be easily accessible & more over next generation would prefer that ;-)
Create a Site
It would be great if we have a personalized site in their name. I have it in Shutterfly.com. It is nice to have all the pictures (organized in form of albums), Blogs, Videos, Calendar (To capture the milestones), etc. in one place. You can also share this site with your family & friends
I am sure you are aware of most of the above suggestions. However I just jotted it down
...Because I did not knew it before :-)
Happy treasuring!!!
