Every time a baby is born, a mother is born. As the baby learns to live and explore this beautiful world, the mother learns how to make his life easier. Day and Night, she puts all her efforts for this. Even though she does all that she could, she will always have a doubt in her mind.
“Am I doing correct? Is this the way it should be done? “
The questions from the elders make this more troublesome.
“Why the baby is crying? I think your milk is not enough for him”
Started the guilt feeling. My milk is not enough. She stars feeling sympathy towards the child, also gets angry with herself. She become tense. This will make the matter worse.
I have gone through all these situations and many a times, words from my mother and my friends were of great use to me.
I realized that the first and foremost thing a new mom should have is “Confidence in the self” and the belief that you know the child better than anyone. And from this belief, stems the fact that we are the person who should take a decision depending on our intuition.
And once we have this confidence, life becomes easier. We will be able to manage the child and also enjoy the days.
Babies/Kids will always learn from their parents. Good things slow and Bad things fast. As the baby grows, we will very well realize what all bad qualities are within us. Then as the child unlearns that habit, we will also change. We will also try to change our self. We will try to become as we want the kid to behave.
Many a times to understand their issues, we will have to think from their perspective. We will get a clear picture of their worries and also will be able to guide them better. Also we should have many tips to handle them and also to answer their questions. In short, we will have to be cheerful always.
This blog is to jolt down some experiences, good tips etc which we have learned from our experiences and also some good memories we have as a mother.
Enjoy reading.
Hey Sudha..Wat a gud post to start with :-)
ReplyDeletewell said sudha.
ReplyDeleteI also feel that we,well, most of us relive our childhood with our kids.
if we always remember how small things were very important to us and even a frown on the mother's face pulled us down, we can be better moms.
when the kids are young, we are their Gods. They believe whatever we say.
So being truthful to them and listening to them will go a long way in opening a channel of communication which will hold good all our lives.
